Mega Man is about a humanoid robot who was originally built for household chores, but was then upgraded for combat against evil.
The first game in the series starts things off simply, as most retro games should. There are six main levels where you have to traverse enemies and obstacles before fighting a boss at the end. The six bosses are Guts Man, Ice Man, Fire Man, Elec Man, Cut Man and Bomb Man.
After defeating the six bosses, you have to go through another three levels, facing some of the same bosses, before you come face-to-face with the games main antagonist, Dr. Wily.
The game is overall a lot of fun. The graphics are nice to look and the gameplay runs smoothly between jumping and shooting enemies. You can even switch between the weapons of the bosses as you acquire them after they are defeated. This is especially useful when fighting Wily, with the Electric and Cut weapons being the most effective.
As for the music, it’s a joy to listen to, over and over again in fact.
