About me

Hello everyone. My name is Williams Fan 92. In this blog post, my first one ever, I will be telling you a bit about me, my interests and what I have planned for this website.

I am a fan of many tv shows, games, films etc. I love quite a few, but there is one tv show that I love more than any other.

Doctor Who.

When I was growing up, I was aware of Doctor Who, but not really a fan. In 2017, I considered becoming a fan. For the tv series, I joined at Peter Capaldi’s penultimate episode The Doctor Falls. I still continue to watch the tv series to this day with Jodie Whittaker playing the Doctor.

That same year, I purchased Tom Baker’s first tv story Robot and the first series of the revival starring Christopher Eccleston as the Doctor. Both of those were a factor in me becoming a Doctor Who fan. For a few years I wasn’t a massive Doctor Who fan, but I regarded it highly.

But in mid-2019, that changed. I purchased the animated recreation of the missing Doctor Who story The Macra Terror on Blu-Ray, starring Patrick Troughton. After watching it, that was the start of my increasing love of Doctor Who.

To further my interest in the show, I purchased the Beginning DVD box set featuring the first three Doctor Who tv stories starring William Hartnell.

I also jumped onto the Collection Blu-Ray box sets that year, the first being Season 23/The Trial of a Time Lord starring Colin Baker.

Since then, my love of the show and the franchise as a whole has grown increasingly with it being my favourite tv show of all time. My favourite Doctors/eras of the series are…

…the Second Doctor/Patrick Troughton…

…the Fifth Doctor/Peter Davison…

…and the Tenth Doctor/David Tennant.

The Fifth Doctor era in particular is my favourite along with the Fifth Doctor himself. My favourite companions from this era and overall are Nyssa of Traken, played by Sarah Sutton and Tegan Jovanka, played by Janet Fielding.

I’ve actually met all three of these people in real life. I have to thank them for having this era be my favourite of Doctor Who along with a man named Tim Bradley who runs his own blog. Welcome | Bradley’s Basement. Here he is below pictured with Peter Davison and Sarah Sutton.

Bradley’s Basement Blogs

On his blog, he has done reviews of Doctor Who as well as other tv shows, films and reports of conventions he’s been to. My blog will be similar to that.

My love of Doctor Who has increased over the years in that I have watched more of the series and collected more media and merchandise from it including DVD’s, Blu-Ray’s, CD’s, comics, books, toys and even games. Here is just a few of the things I own.

Of course, Doctor Who isn’t the only tv show I enjoy. I am also a fan of Star Trek, Frasier, Cheers, Seinfeld, Only Fools and Horses, the Simpsons, Auf Wiedersehen Pet, Citizen Smith, Red Dwarf, Family Guy, American Dad, Futurama, the Sweeney, Minder, Inspector Morse, the Young Ones, All Creatures Great and Small, Dad’s Army, Fawlty Towers, Blackadder, Top Gear and many others.

In terms of films and other media, I enjoy Batman, Superman, Spider-Man, X-Men, MCU, Star Wars, Mario, Sonic the Hedgehog, Pixar and many others.

I hope to share reviews on most of the stuff that I have shared here.

I also plan on doing a Fanfiction series called the Fifth Doctor by Williams Fan 92, inspired by Tim’s own Fanfiction series called the Fifth Doctor by Tim Bradley. It will feature the Fifth Doctor, Nyssa and Tegan. In the series, they are joined by a new companion named Michael Anderson. Over this year, I will post four stories featuring them on this blog. I hope you will enjoy reading them as much as I am enjoying writing them.

Feel free as well to comment on my blog posts if you want to and leave feedback.

Take care, WF92.
